MacTrade supports in-app account deletion through a documented server-side deletion process.
Steps in the app
- Open the Profile tab
- Open Account and security
- Tap Delete account
- Read the permanent deletion warning in the sheet
- Type the confirmation word DELETE (English) or SLET (Danish)
- Re-authenticate with password (email sign-in) or Sign in with Apple when required
- Tap Delete account to submit
While processing, the app may show “Deletion pending” / “Deleting account…”. When complete, you are signed out and cannot sign in again with the same account.
What deletion initiates
The server process deletes or anonymizes data in a documented order, including:
- Private profile and Firebase Authentication account
- Favourites, saved search agents, match records, and device push tokens
- Unsold listings and related Storage images
- Private serial-number records and access grants
- Local drafts and photos on device after successful deletion
What may be retained or anonymized
- Sold listings — may be retained anonymized (seller “Deleted user”) for integrity
- Conversations — participant details anonymized; the other party may keep history; new messages blocked
- Moderation reports — may be retained with anonymization flags; final retention period not yet legally defined
- App feedback — private feedback records may be retained; submitter pseudonymization not yet finalized
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone once completed.
Asynchronous processing
Deletion runs on server processes and is not necessarily immediate. If partially failed, the operation may remain in progress and can be retried by starting deletion again (idempotent).
If you cannot access the app
Email app@eeeo.dk from the address linked to your account requesting deletion. We may require identity verification. Timing depends on manual verification.
